Man of La Mancha

Written by Dale Wasserman
Music by Mitch Leigh

Lyrics by Joe Darion

NRTG proudly presents one of the most requested musicals by our patrons, Man of La Mancha. This inspiring story of Don Quixote and his quest to "reach the unreachable star" comes to life at the Ellicott Creek Playhouse in November 2017.  This powerful, hilarious, heartwarming, heartbreaking story of an aging man who refuses to give up his ideals or his passions renders such classic musical numbers such as "The Impossible Dream," "Dulcinea," "Little Bird," and "I Really Like Him." to name a few.  La Mancha has been named one of the most successful musicals in Broadway history.

All My Sons

Written by Arthur Miller

Arthur Miller's Tony award-winning drama "All My Sons" will be presented at the Ellicott Creek Playhouse in January/February 2018.  Based on a true story Miller read in a newspaper, the plot centers around a war profiteer who sold defective parts to the military during WWII. He lies to avoid prison, but his son - a war hero - begins to unravel the deception. The electrifying intensity of this drama comes to a climax in the final scene with the son's reaction to his father's guilt.

Present Laughter

Written by Noel Coward

Garry, an aging actor, still lives life like a young, reckless star of the stage. The plot follows a few days in the life of this self-obsessed egotist. He finds himself in a difficult situation when a young dalliance returns to audition for him, a young crazed playwright insists he read his play, and his ex-wife is left to clean up the mess. This comedy bordering on farce, was written by Coward in 1930 and just enjoyed a Broadway revival. The script was described by Coward as "a series of semi-autobiographical pyrotechnics."

Directed by M. Joseph Fratello

Love Letters

NRTG is proud to welcome Maryalice Demler and Scott Levin to star in A.R. Gurney's "Love Letters". This unique and imaginative piece of theatre is comprised of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two people who grew up together, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences and affections. As the actors read the letters aloud, what is created is a touching, frequently funny, but always telling journey of these two character's lives.

ComedySportz can be found in 26 cities across the US and Europe, and local players have competed in more than 2,000 matches since it first arrived in Buffalo in 1993.
